Natural Stone Work

Chester Granite has been a highly regarded stone for building and memorial work since the 1880's. Founded by a hearty group of Finns, the Chester Granite Co. proudly sent its carved stone throughout the Northeast by rail. Many referred to Chester Granite as "the silk of the granite trade".

Today we quarry and carve landscape and architectural products. We specialize in historic hand-tooled finishes and natural stone for landscaping. We operate a small, fully equipped stone shop that encourages and allows for the creative use of stone often leaving much of the product in its natural state.
